This process involves job analysis, advertising vacancies, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and finally selecting the best candidates suited for the organization (Dessler, 2020).
2. Training and Development
Organizations invest in training programs to enhance and upgrade employees' skills and knowledge and assure Continuous Professional Development (CPD). Human Resource Management oversees employee training, career development, and leadership sessions to advance performance and job satisfaction of employees in the organization (Armstrong & Taylor, 2020).
3. Performance Management
Human Resource Management set up performance evaluation systems to assess employee productivity. It comprises setting performance expectations, conducting appraisals, and providing feedback to boost the employee contributions towards achieving organizational goals (Aguinis, 2019).
4. Compensation and Benefits
Human Resource Management constructs and administers compensation structures, including salaries, incentives, and benefits packages to ensure competitive and fair remuneration for employees. This function helps in attracting and retaining top talented employees within the organization (Milkovich, Newman, & Gerhart, 2019).
5. Employee Relations and Labor Law Compliance
Human Resource Management assures a positive work culture by addressing employee grievances, promoting workplace ethics, and ensuring compliance with labor laws and regulations (Brewster, Chung, & Sparrow, 2016).
6. Workforce Planning and Strategic HRM
Human Resource Management contributes to long-term business goals by analyzing workforce needs, succession planning, and aligning HR strategies with organizational goals (Boxall & Purcell, 2022).
7. Health, Safety, and Well-being
Assuring workplace safety and employee well-being is another crucial function of Human Resource Management. It engages implementing health and safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting wellness sessions for employee well-being (Goetsch & Davis, 2021).
